How does our bike shuttle work? You will park your car in Downtown Jim Thorpe. There is all day parking in the county parking lot for a small fee. Then you will come to our business at above address. The shuttle will pick you up here and drop you off at the start of your bike ride where you will ride back into town or the end of your kayak trip which will start in Jim Thorpe and end at Bowmanstown. Your shuttle options are The Switchback, which is a gentle 9 mile downhill mountain biking trail through the woods and passing by Mauch Chunk Lake at the half-way point, The Lehigh Gorge Trail, which is a mild 2% downhill grade along the Lehigh River. The Lehigh Gorge has a 15 mile option or a 25 mile option. Reservations are recommended for all shuttles and rentals. Back to Top

Should we bring a lunch? There are many great places to eat right in Downtown Jim Thorpe. There is nowhere to grab a bite along the trails. The only exception is along the Switchback Trail at the Mauch Chunk Lake Park beach concession. It is a good idea to either eat before your trip or pick up a lunch to take along with you. If you are packing a lunch, bring a backpack. Back to Top
Are reservations necessary? Occasionally, you will be able to walk in and take a trip without a reservation. However, we can not guarantee you a spot on the shuttle or a bike rental if you do not have a reservation. A reservation is ALWAYS in your best interest. During the month of October, a reservation is a must! Back to Top
How do I make a reservation? To make a reservation, call us at 800-599-4421 or 570-325-4421. One of our knowledgeable staff members will help you set up the perfect trip for you. When you call to reserve, we will ask you for a credit card number. Nothing is charged to this number unless you either do not show up for your trip or you cancel with less than 24 hours notice ( 1 week for organized groups of 15 or more). If this is the case then your card will be charged for the full amount and you will be sent a raincheck which is good for 1 year from the date of issue. The card number you give us does not pay for your trip. You will still have to pay for your trip when you come in to do your paperwork. If you were sent a raincheck, you will use the raincheck that was sent to you. If you are renting a bike we will need your height at the time the reservation is made. This ensures that you will be given the proper size frame. Back to Top
Do you run trips on the river? Yes, temperature and river levels permitting, we do daily sit-on-top kayak trips on the river. You need to be here at Noon and we launch you on the river in Jim Thorpe and pick you up around 4:30 - 5:00 downriver in Bowmanstown. People who have never picked up a paddle have done this trip and had a wonderful time. It is not whitewater, although, you will have a few small rapids depending on the river level. You will be given instructions before you are launched. It is a great trip! Minimum age requirement is 12 yrs old. Back to Top
